iOS Developer, Chennai, India

Are you passionate about creating iOS apps? Have an eye for UI and a taste for Cocoa? Tenmiles is now looking for awesome iOS developers. Not one but Two.

What do we expect from you ?

0. Self motivated quick learner.

1. Skills
* Good knowledge in Objective-C
* Good experience working in XCode3 or XCode4
* Experience using Git or Mercurial
* Good Aptitude to solve problems
* Love for good UI

2. Experience
* At least 6 months of iOS development experience
* Must have developed at least one useful iOS app that is now in Apple AppStore

Product Evangelism & Marketing, Chennai

Do you love talking about a product? In fact, its easier than that. Do you love talking about GREAT products? Do you love ideating around products and customers? Then we want you! Tenmiles is looking for people who will take the passion from inside the walls of our office and take it to our customers.

It’s no secret that we at Tenmiles are passionate about our products. Even while writing code, we have ideas on the next great feature we can give to our customers, or the next campaign to engage them, or another niche market we can target. While we ship a bunch of products successfully, we are still brimming with a lot energy and ideas. We need people who will join us, feel the energy, be energized, and transfer that energy to our customers.

We are looking for people to fill two roles – Product Evangelism and Product Marketing.

Product Evangelism

As we see it, this will involve engaging our existing customers and knowing them inside-out. We want to know what they like about our products now, what they would want to see, and how we can make their day better. You would be responsible for our community initiatives, be an expert user of the product, and work closely with developers & the marketing team. The Product Evangelist has to be the “insider” both for us, AND our customers.

We believe in travel-less internet marketing and improving word-of-mouth referrals rather than standing endlessly at trade show booths or making cold calls.

Rails Developer, Chennai

Are you turned on by great ideas and beautiful code? If yes, we want you. Here at Tenmiles, we are driven purely by the excitement of building our own products and making them simply awesome for our customers. And beautiful code is the next obvious step to getting there. We have rolled out 3 Rails products so far and are best known for DoAttend. We are hiring experienced developers, freshers with some personal programming experience (any language) and interns.

What are we looking for?

You must be a daring programmer who can get things done. You should be able to pick up new approaches and learn new techniques quickly.

You must be self-driven and self-motivated. We want to see you come up with ideas for products and features, want to hear you talk about them passionately and want to be convinced that they’re simply rad!

You must have a startup mindset – taking responsibility for the product, and working as a team to do what it takes and make it a success.

Experienced Developers: You must be exceptionally good in programming and have a very good domain knowledge in Rails. Experience no bar. Show us some code or links to projects you have completed.

Freshers & Interns: Hunger to code, excellent aptitude and logical skills. Experience in Rails/Ruby not required but exposure to some programming language with personal programming experience would be required.

What do you get to do?

You will officially be in charge of development and upkeep of one of our Rails products.

You will also be a part of the Rails team as a whole and will be contributing to its evolution – building the domain knowledge in the company, establishing best practices, coming up with more product ideas and delivering Rails apps to customers. We still function like a startup and so your involvement will help form the culture and practices in areas that you work on. We encourage you to take responsibility and initiative and get things done. Oh, and of course, you’ll be working on a Mac :)
